Google Search

This morning booted up the computer grabbed my cup of coffee then went to do some searching. Google is/WAS my default search engine...until this morning. I was helping my son with his laptop and was setting up the wifi. EVERY term I plugged into Googles search came back with "this site may harm your computer" Thinking MAYBE I had been using some bad programs and scrolling through the search results I found every site was listed as "harmful to my computer" come on now Newegg...harmful? I DON'T THINK SO.
So decided to do a nice safe search so it was "puppies and kittens" guess what yes harmful to my computer too even links to youtube videos !!! Well that was an hour ago and as of now google has corrected the problem but their all knowing search engine leaves a lot to be desired at times.
Will my account here be locked out for speaking poorly of Google...maybe for I have read they tend to do that at times. So much for freedom of speech. When I find out the cause of their issue I shall report back.
Anyone else with Google issues?

Safer Online Banking

Do you ever log onto your banks website then open a new window/tab to visit other websites?

DON'T DO IT

According to Trusteer there is a new scam called IN SESSION PHISHING. To put it simply it uses java script, a compromised website, of which there are more than 2 million KNOWN compromised sites and 100's added daily and a little malware injected onto the compromised site.

The scenario might go something like this:
A pop up window appears stating your banking session has expired and asks you for your username and password...since you were just there and your the page is still open it sound legitiment and viola they have gotten your bank information = $$.

Therefore when you are visiting your bank online just do that and don't visit any other sites until you are done banking. I usually close my browser after I have logged off of my banks website.
